The City of Perry has been named a part of the T-Mobile Hometown Grant Awards recipients for this year. 

T-Mobile has dedicated $25 million to fund community development projects like revitalized downtown spaces, revamped parks, building renovations and more to make a positive difference in small towns across the nation. They announced a $20,000 grant will fund the first inclusive ADA playground at Wiese Park, to allow children of all disabilities to play together in one space. The project was spearheaded by the Perry Rotary Club Foundation. Since the program’s start, T-Mobile has given more than $7.8 million dollars to 175 communities across 41 states. The initiative has provided more than $320,000 in funding across eight cities in Iowa, including:  

  • Dec. 2021: Mason City  
  • March 2022:  Fairfield  
  • June 2022: Adel, Marshalltown and Lansing  
  • Sept. 2022: Keokuk  
  • Dec. 2022: Storm Lake
  • March 2023: Perry
