PEORIA, Ill. – A Peoria man didn’t injure anyone, but he was arrested at his South Peoria home for allegedly shooting outside it.
Peoria Police say James Ogle, 44, remains jailed on charges of Aggravated Discharge of a Firearm, Aggravated Assault, and Possession of a Firearm by a Felon.
A ShotSpotter alert notified police of six rounds being fired near Antoinette and Stanley around 12:45 p.m. Tuesday, and they say they later found shell casings near Ogle’s home.
A man outside the home claimed he was shot at but not hurt.
Police say Ogle at first refused to leave his house but eventually did, allowing officers to allegedly find two guns in the home.
Peoria County Jail records indicate Tuesday’s was the 25th time since 1996 Ogle had been arrested.
