PEORIA, Ill. – Two juveniles were taken into custody early Friday morning after reports they, and a third juvenile, were reportedly trying to break into a vehicle in the West Bluff.
Peoria Police says one of the three was reportedly armed with a handgun.
Officers responded to Machin and Armstrong at around 3:30 A.M., where they found a 13-year-old male and a 15-year-old male. The third juvenile was not found.
Officers conducted a search of the two and found burglary tools and gloves on the pair.
The 13-year-old was arrested on charges of Attempted Motor Vehicle
Theft, Possession of Burglary Tools, Criminal Damage to Property, and Aggravated Assault. He was taken to the Juvenile Detention Center.
The 15-year-old was arrested on charges of Attempted Motor
Vehicle Theft, Possession of Burglary Tools, and Criminal Damage to Property. He was released to his parents.
