Why this location in Pensacola?

According to Extended Stay America, “Many of our hotels are close to military bases, catering to the needs of military personnel and providing a sense of home while away from home.”

The latest site will be close to Naval Air Station Pensacola, which recently reopened the Pensacola Lighthouse and Maritime Museum, the National Naval Aviation Museum and Fort Barrancas to the public. NAS Pensacola had closed off public access to its West Gate due to a terrorist attack on the base in 2019 that left three servicemen dead and eight other people injured.

The new extended stay hotel could accommodate locals, visiting military personnel and visitors to the museum and Homecoming Blue Angels air show, both of which draw hundreds of thousands of visitors each year.
