BULLOCH COUNTY, Ga. — A well-known and respected Savannah pastor was killed Thursday night in an accident in Bulloch County. Clarence "Teddy" Williams, 64, was traveling on State Route 67 near the intersection with Anderson Cemetery Rd. around 6:30 p.m. when, according to witnesses, his Chevrolet Spark crossed the grass median, struck a culvert and flipped several times before coming to a rest on its roof.

Statesboro Police Department has released an update on the investigation of the September 1 shooting death of Larry Chapman at Connection Apartments. Detectives say that the facts of the investigation support a finding that Chapman’s death resulted from an act of self-defense, and that no charges will be brought against the individual who fired the fatal shots .

DUI-alcohol, more: A deputy was sent to Highway 80 at Eldora Road around 4:23 a.m. Sept. 17 “for a report of a silver Chevrolet Silverado that was unable to maintain its lane and was stopped at the red light and had not gone when the light turned green.” The deputy got to the light and saw the pickup. “The traffic light was green and the vehicle did not go. I got behind the vehicle and the traffic signal turned to red and cycled through to green and red again the vehicle still did not go.”
