The DC-Grimes baseball ended their long winning streak with a doubleheader split on Monday.

The Mustangs were on a eight game winning before coming into their doubleheader against the Pella Dutch. The first game was decided by a four run sixth inning by the Mustangs and good pitching by Tate Perrin to close the 9 to 6 win over the Dutch. Additionally, Dayne Mauk accounted for five RBI’s in that win.

Pella would strike late into the second game with a five run seventh inning to seal to 7 to 5 victory and snap the nine game winning streak for the Mustangs. Tate Perrin, Clayton Campidilli and Dayne Mauk all had a  multiple hit game, but it wasn’t enough in the end.

The Dallas Center-Grimes baseball team’s current record is (10-3) and will now take on Norwalk at home on Wednesday at 7:30 pm.
