The Pella Public Library announced the completion of an Eagle Scout service project to benefit the library. Life Scout Zander Riddle, of Pella Boy Scout Troop 373, recently finished building a series of six new cabinets. These cabinets are specially designed to hold the many art prints which were previously scattered throughout the library.
The custom furniture was designed on a computer and crafted in pieces over a period of several months. It was assembled in a single afternoon with help from other scouts of Troop 373. A major service project is a requirement for all Life Scouts wishing to attain Eagle Scout rank. The project must be planned and carried out by the Scout.
