Several Area Track and Field teams began their outdoor season’s Tuesday as the Pella Christian boys track and field team hosted Knoxville, PCM, and Pleasantville in the PC Boys Early Season Meet where no team scores were kept. 

The following were winning events from the four KNIA/KRLS area teams (Knoxville, Pella Christian, PCM, and Pleasantville):

Knoxville:

200 Meter Dash: Tristan DeJong – 23.79

4×800 Meter Relay: Kaden Curry, Jay Kellar, Kaden McGill, Conner Willoughby – 8:45.58

800 Sprint Medley: Tristin DeJong, Konner Leslie, Luka DeJong, Austin Washington – 1:40.61 

High Jump: Kaiden Smith – 6-02.00

Pella Christian:

100 Meter Dash: Luke Nikkel – 11.56

Long Jump: Luke Nikkel – 21-02.00

Shot Put: Trevor Veenstra – 53-02.00

Discus: Trevor Veenstra – 169-02 (Broke the Blue Standard to Qualify for the Drake Relays)

PCM:

110 Meter Hurdles: Gavin Fenton – 15.81

4×100 Meter Relay: Gabe Hobbs, Jacob Wendt, Adrien Robbins, Evan Jones – 46.56

4×200 Meter Relay: Griffin Olson, Gabe Hobbs, Jacob Wendt, Evan Jones – 1:36.03

4×400 Meter Relay: August Stock, Griffin Olson, Mickey Mackewich, Gavin Fenton – 3:42.79

Pleasantville:

1600 Meter Run: Ryder Thill – 5:08.42

The Pella Christian boys track and field team is back in action Thursday at the Ogden Early Bird Coed Meet at 4:30 p.m. The PCM boys track and field team next competes Friday at the Roland-Story Coed Quad Track Meet at 4:30 p.m. The Knoxville boys return to action Tuesday at the PCM Joel Grier Invitational, while The Pleasantville boys are also off until Tuesday, when they compete at the Lynnville-Sully Hawks COED Relays.
