Chef DK Kodama serves up new dishes for his Waikiki Restaurants
HONOLULU (Island News) -- Chef and Owner, DK Kodama is constantly innovating dishes and sushi at D.K. Steak House and Sansei Seafood Restaurant & Sushi Bar in Waikiki. Some of Chef DK's newly inspired creations include, the Waikiki Moonrise Roll with spicy tuna and avocado - a tiger roll with shrimp tempura - spicy tuna and unagi plus, an Asian crab oscar with a filet mignon topped with crab meat. But Chef DK says, after almost 30 years in the restaurant industry, he stays relevant by keeping up with current food trends.

GPA showcase set for 10th event

Jason Lin is the founder and chairman of MOSA! and Mickey Morikawa is the Co-Owner of MOSA!. Lin says the story behind MOSA! is, " Right before I graduated from UCLA I had this idea of opening a business of my own. Basically, I went around UCLA campus telling everybody I know that I wanted to open an ice cream shop somewhere. I was hosting tasting parties at the dorm kitchen every week. I convinced a couple of people but ended doing it with my classmate Masaki, who I met in the entrepreneur class at UCLA. After moving here in July last year, we did a couple of farmers markets including the Aloha Stadium swap meet. And after 6 months, we finally found a spot to open up a shop, so here we are in Waikiki. For all young entrepreneurs out there who’s watching this, I just want say, dreams do come true. You just gotta go for it! As long as you have the courage to speak on it, act on it, it will happen!"
