State police arrest Pawtucket woman on drug, gun charges

PAWTUCKET, R.I. (WLNE) — Rhode Island State Police said Thursday they arrested a woman for possession of an illegal firearm and a large amount of fentanyl.

Police arrested Jodiany Urena, 33, after a narcotics distribution investigation.

Police said they executed a warrant on Urena’s Pawtucket apartment, where they found about 300 grams of suspected fentanyl, a loaded Glock .40 caliber pistol with and extended magazine, $19,613 in cash, and narcotics distribution materials.

Urena Possession

The suspect was found to be in possession of an illegal firearm and suspected fentanyl. (R.I.S.P.)

Urena was charged for possession with intent to deliver and possession of a firearm by certain persons prohibited, among several other charges.

She is being held without bail as a probation violator for a previous narcotics distribution conviction.
