Boil water advisory for Paw Paw water customers lifted

PAW PAW, Mich. (WOOD) — A boil water advisory in Paw Paw prompted by a loss of water pressure has been lifted.

The advisory, which was in effect for all village water customers, was lifted Wednesday, the village of Paw Paw said in a Facebook post.

“Any time there is an interruption in service, as a precaution, the Village asks that you not drink the water from your faucets,” the village said on Monday.

Everyone in the affected were told to boil their water for two minutes before consuming it. It was safe to bathe in the water without boiling it.

Water main breaks cause a drop in pressure, which can allow bacteria to enter the system. The boil water advisory was precautionary.
