Paterson Man Arrested for February Shooting

PATERSON, NJ – Based on an investigation by the Paterson Police Department and the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office, 21-year-old Jaquan Wilson was arrested on Thursday, for a shooting that occurred on Thursday, February 23, 2023.

The incident took place in the area of East 24th Street and 9th Avenue, where police found an 18-year-old Saddle Brook resident with a non-fatal gunshot wound. Wilson now faces charges of attempted murder, unlawful possession of a weapon, and possession of a weapon for unlawful purposes.

Upon his arrest, Wilson was taken into custody near Broadway and Church Street in Paterson. The prosecution has stated their intention to file for pre-trial detention.
