Pasadena man sentenced for murder of 5-year-old sister

A Pasadena man was sentenced on Friday to 60 years in prison for the 2020 murder of his 5-year-old sister.

Stephen Jarrod Davis II, 20, was sentenced for the stabbing death of Anaya Jannah Abdul.

Police said Davis took a family vehicle from the home to Ohio following the murder. He led police on a high-speed chase before being arrested.

Evidence found at the scene led police to suspect Davis in the killing of Abdul. An autopsy determined Abdul suffered multiple sharp force injuries.

Davis was a high school senior at the time of the incident. The judge recommended the 60-year sentence be served at the Patuxent Institution for youth offenders in Jessup.
