Burroughs freshmen getting ready for upcoming season
The incoming freshmen football players are practicing with new Freshmen Head Coach Michael Lazaro and his staff Mike Stewart, Steve Stange, Chris Wheeler, Tim Jacobs, Jason Bostick, and Brian Hays. The freshmen began the practice working with Burroughs weight room teacher Haillie Bell, who is working with new Burroughs Head Coach Matt Fulton and Lazaro in planning and executing the proper weight lifting and agility workouts. The practice began with the players being tested on their ability to listen to instructions and perform them with a hand and eye drill. Afterwards, they worked on a few endurance drills before going out to the field and working on the fundamentals and plays from the playbook. Lazaro spoke on what the new coaching staff is looking and preparing the new players for in the summer practices.
