Assault: Theota Avenue
On May 5, police were dispatched to Theota Avenue regarding a disturbance. An arriving officer located the culprit.
While investigating, the officer was assaulted by a Parma woman. That’s when she was arrested for assault.
Fraud: Hauserman Road
On May 8, police were dispatched to a Hauserman Road address after an employee discovered that an unknown person had used the company’s name to place several equipment orders. There are no suspects. Police are investigating.
Theft: Broadview Road
On May 9, police were dispatched to American Freight Outlet after an employee suspected that a man had stolen money from the Broadview Road business. Police are investigating.
Disturbance: Broadview Road
On May 9, police were dispatched to the Parma Tavern regarding an intoxicated man causing a disturbance at the Broadview Road bar.
An arriving officer located the suspect. It turned out that the man in question was in possession of suspected felony drugs. The Cleveland resident was arrested for drug abuse.
Breaking and entering: Ward Road
On May 9, police were dispatched to Ward Road regarding a break-in.
An arriving officer talked to the resident, who discovered that property had been stolen from a vehicle parked at the residence. There are no suspects. Police are investigating.
Vandalism: Ridge Road
On May 8, police were dispatched to the former YMCA building regarding a trespassing call.
The caller said juveniles were entering the vacant building. An arriving officer located four juveniles, who at first fled the area, but were later located at McDonald’s.
The officer said there was damage to a fence and window of the building. The kids were cited for trespassing and vandalism.
Trespassing: Westlake Avenue
On May 8, a Westlake Avenue resident called police about a man trespassing in the back yard of their residence.
An arriving officer located the suspect, who was in possession of suspected felony drugs. The Parma man ended up being charged with trespassing and drug abuse.
