Woman dies in Parkville shooting

Detectives with the Baltimore County Police Department are investigating a fatal shooting that killed a woman in Parkville, authorities said.

On the afternoon of April 21, some time around 3 p.m., police officers from the Parkville Precinct responded to the Unit Block of Whitelaw Place for a reported homicide, according to officials.

Upon arrival, officers located an adult female suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Moments later, Baltimore County paramedics arrived and pronounced the victim dead at the scene, police said.

“It is believed this was a targeted incident,” says a BCPD statement.

As BCPD homicide detectives investigate the circumstances surrounding this incident, officials ask anyone with information pertinent to the case to contact 410-307-2020.

Authorities have not released the victim’s name, age or any information on a possible suspect.

MSP: Fatal multi-vehicle crash under investigation

ROSEDALE — Maryland State Police are investigating a fatal motor multi-vehicle crash that occurred over the weekend which killed a local resident.

Shortly before 4:30 p.m. on the afternoon of April 20, troopers from the MSP’s Golden Ring Barrack responded to a two-vehicle crash on inner loop I-695 prior to the Jones Falls Expressway. According to a preliminary investigation, a 2023 GMC Savana was traveling on the inner loop when the driver changed lanes and crashed into the rear of a 1989 Ford tow truck, authorities said.

The driver of the GMC, identified as Anthony Gregory Ward, 36, of Rosedale, was declared dead at the scene by Baltimore County emergency medical services personnel, officials said.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
