Summer activities at Deer Valley Resort

PARK CITY, Utah – Summer operations at Deer Valley Resort are scheduled to begin on June 23, weather permitting.

The resort’s summer offerings include the Deer Valley Music Festival and Concert series, lift-served mountain biking, world-class dining, the second annual Mountain Beer Festival, and much more.

“After such a spectacular winter of record-breaking snowfall, we are thrilled to usher in summer with a full calendar of events and unique Deer Valley experiences for our local community, loyal guests, and first-time visitors,” said Susie English, Deer Valley Resort vice president of marketing. “A variety of concerts in our Snow Park Outdoor Amphitheater, additional evening lift-service for avid mountain bikers, and ample culinary focused events are just the start to the ultimate summer mountain vacation.” 

Summer Activities as Deer Valley Resort include:

Lift-Served Mountain Biking and Hiking: Deer Valley’s 70 miles of trails are accessed via the Silver Lake Express chairlift at the base of the resort, Sterling Express located mid-mountain, and Homestake Express also located mid-mountain, provide access to a wide variety of trails. The trails are spread over six mountains and feature up to 3,000 feet of elevation change.

Several of Deer Valley’s mountain bike trails connect with Park City’s extensive 400-mile network of single track. Chairlifts run from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily, June 23 – September 4, then Friday – Sunday through September 24, conditions permitting. 

Summer Adventure Camp: The Adventure camp is offered to children aged 2 months- 12 years, and provides an opportunity for children to become connected with nature. The Camp is based out of Deer Valley’s state-licensed children’s center in Snow Park lodge, and activities revolve around weekly themes and include entertainment and performances, craft projects, team building activities, outdoor adventures and education, and exciting field trips.  Summer Adventure Camp is in session weekdays, beginning Monday, June 5 through Friday, August 18. Hours of operation are from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. with organized activities from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Daily and Full Seasonal options are available. Prices range from $103-$119 per day with additional field trip and activity fees. Reservations are required, call 435-645-6648 for individual assistance with booking. 

Deer Valley Music Festival: The Deer Valley Music Festival is the summer home of the Utah Symphony. Tickets for the eight-week series are on sale now at deervalleymusicfestival.org. The 2023 lineup includes: Friday, June 30 – Patriotic Pops with Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue, Saturday, July 1 – Spanish Nights with Pablo Sáinz Villegas, Friday, July 7 – Disney Princess: The Concert, Saturday, July 8 – Broadway & Soul: Joshua Henry, Friday, July 14 & Saturday, July 15 – The Beach Boys, Friday, July 21 – She’s Got Soul: Capathia Jenkins, Saturday, July 22 – LeAnn Rimes, Friday, July 28 – The Music of John Williams, Saturday, July 29 – A Night of Funk: Lettuce, Thursday, August 3: The Music of Queen, Friday, August 4: Ben Folds with the Utah Symphony.

Deer Valley Concert Series: The Deer Valley Concert Series brings a top-tier lineup of world-renowned artists to the Snow Park Outdoor Amphitheater this summer. Tickets are on sale at deervalleyconcertseries.com for the following performances: Thursday, July 13 – Old Crow Medicine Show, Sunday, July 16 – CAAMP, Saturday, Aug. 5 & Sunday, Aug. 6 – Greensky Bluegrass, Friday, Aug. 11 – Michael Franti & Spearhead with Special Guest, SOJA, Saturday, September 2 – Kenny Loggins.

Annual Deer Valley Mountain Beer Festival | September 16-17, 2023: Sip and sample brews from over a dozen Utah breweries at the second annual Deer Valley Mountain Beer Festival on Saturday and Sunday, September 16 and 17, from 11 a.m. Tickets on sale starting June 15, 2023, at deervalley.com. The Beer Festival also offers scenic chairlift rides throughout the resort, live music, plenty of dining opportunities, and family-friendly activities. The festival was created to celebrate Utah’s brewing culture and is exclusive to breweries from Utah. Expect to see local producers, such as Offset Bier and Park City Brewing, as well as nationally recognized brewers from the Beehive State, including Squatters and Uinta, who kick-started Utah’s craft brew scene several decades ago.

Harry Potter’s Birthday at the Deer Valley Café : Step into the enchanting world of Hogwarts at the Deer Valley Café, as we celebrate Harry Potter’s Birthday with delectable dishes inspired by the wizarding world.  The vent is on July 31st, from 11 a.m.- 3 p.m, this is your chance to showcase your Hogwarts pride and receive a complimentary slice of birthday cake and glass of Butterbeer.

Deer Valley Creative Academy: Guests can embark on a journey of culinary and creative discovery at the new Deer Valley Creative Academy, opening this July in the Deer Valley Plaza Building. Deer Valley’s Creative Academy will offer a unique blend of culinary and crafting experiences to inspire creativity. Whether you’re a seasoned chef or novice artist, the Deer Valley Creative Academy has something to offer everyone. Available weekends starting in July. Classes range from $35 to $75 per person and a full schedule will be available soon at deervalley.com
