Semi hauling beer cut to pieces after crashing near Weber River

MORGAN COUNTY, Utah — A semi truck carrying 72,000 lbs of beer lost control and crashed into a creek near the Weber River on Sunday afternoon. The driver lost control near MM 96 WB I-84 just before the Peterson Off ramp.

According to Mountain Green Fire Protection District no injuries to people or the beer he was carrying were reported.

Crews quickly deployed HazMat Flotation Booms to control fuel leaking from the trucks tanks and stopping any flow of diesel from getting to the Weber River, as this creek runs into it. In recent months there have been several semi-trucks go off the road in this area. The driver was treated and released to UHP on scene.
