A French Bulldog sat perfectly still while his mom gave him his bath, but the second it was over, he went into "after-bath zoomies."
On September 13, 2024, TikTok user Marvel & Ellen (@marvellen) shared a video of the French Bulldog's bath time routine, and it's funny for several reasons. Take a look!
In a minute-long video , we meet Marvel, who seems to hate, love, and look forward to bath time all at the same time.

At the start of the video, Marvel is being carried by his mom and gently placed into the water for his bath. It's at this point that he appears to not like bath time because he doesn't make it super easy for his mom to place him in the water.
But when he got in there, he didn't move around much and was a good boy. Mom scrubbed his back, legs, and tummy and brushed his fur before rinsing him off to make sure all areas were scrubbed and clean. He only did the epic dog shake once, sending bubbly water all over.
He was a good boy for rinse-off time, maybe because he knew then it was almost over and his favorite part was coming.
Mom got the funny French Bulldog out of the sink and placed him on the floor to give him a towel dry.
Then it was zoomies time! He runs past the bedroom so fast you almost don't see him before he runs into a bedroom, jumps on the bed, runs around on the bed, then flies off with a bug jump, disappearing back into the house before doing the exact same thing all over again.
People giggled at funny Marvel and his after-bath energy in the comment section.
One wrote, "his zoomies after bath always gets me."
Another shared, "Aww, Marvel is so good getting his bath."
Someone else added, "I think dogs feel so good after their bath they can't help themselves so they do zoomies."
Another wrote, Mine gets crazy after bath as well, he loves getting dried!"
What Should a French Bulldog's Grooming Schedule Look Like?
One of the big perks of being a parent to a French Bulldog is that they're pretty clean pups and don't require a whole lot of grooming. Rover.com notes that these dogs don't need to have weekly baths and really only need one if they're actually dirty.
If you do bathe your French Bulldog, you should be mindful of the type of shampoo you're using, Rover.com warns, since this breed is "prone to allergies that can show up as skin problems. "
Outside of bath time, French Bulldogs do need to have their nails trimmed regularly. The sooner you start a nail trimming routine, the easier it should go for you and your dog, so starting when they're really young is ideal.
When it comes to ear care for your dog, this is another area where French Bulldogs shine as being low-maintenance.
"Frenchies have fewer issues with their ears," Rover.com writes. "Their ears are fragile though, so when cleaning, do so gently with a damp washcloth and keep on the lookout for any signs of redness or irritation."
One important grooming habit for your French Bulldog is regularly checking its little facial folds for irritation, which should be spot-cleaned a few times a week.
