Dachshund and Rescue Chihuahua's Precious Bond Sets Serious Relationship Goals

When pet parents decide to get another dog, it can be gut-wrenching. Will their first child feel replaced or slighted? Or will they be thrilled to have a partner in crime? There’s only one way to find out. Thankfully, it often works out better than we could have imagined.

That was definitely the case for this darling Dachshund and his new Chihuahua companion. Although this mom hoped they would get along, she had no idea they would be more like soulmates.

What a perfect pair! While this Mom had hoped Cedric (@ cedanded ) would enjoy having a sister, she didn’t expect to bring home the love of his life. Sweet Edith is just as enamored with her new man. They appear inseparable, whether playing, snuggling, or grooming one another. It’s hard to believe they have only just met because it seems they have been together for a lifetime. In the comments, their mom explains Cedric was the one who chose Edith at the shelter, and while they clicked from the moment they met, they did not know just how deep their love would grow. When you find the right match, you know it instantly!

Signs Dogs Like Each Other

Dogs show clear signs of liking each other through positive body language . For example, they will play together and may bow to each other as an invitation and a sign of mutual trust. Their bodies will be relaxed with a loose, wagging tail and ears in a neutral position. If they are willing to share space, such as sitting next to each other or lying down together, that’s another excellent sign they enjoy each other’s company.
