The Panorama Panther softball team started their 2023 campaign on Monday night.

The Panthers were up against bitter rival the West Central Valley Wildcats. Historically Panorama has had the advantage in the rivalry. However, WCV has won the previous two match ups. Including winning both games last season.

There was a lot of runs in this game. The teams combined for 13 runs in total. Unfortunately for the Panthers, they only had four of those runs. Giving WCV the win, 9-4. Panorama will fall to 0-1 to start the season.

The Panthers won’t be able to dwell on this loss. They’ll be back in action today. They will be back home in Panora to take on the Woodward-Granger Hawks. First pitch is set for 5:3opm.
