Investigations revealed that a man was driving a 2002 Acura MDX westbound on Avenue M at a high rate of speed when he lost control of the SUV. The department said the man then drove into a ditch, got launched and crashed into a fence, which caused a rollover.

The driver, only identified as a 33-year-old man, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Anyone with information regarding the traffic collision is encouraged to call Palmdale Station’s Traffic Department at 661-272-2400.
