14 Freeway Solo Vehicle Crash Leaves 1 Dead

Palmdale, Los Angeles County, CA: A solo vehicle freeway crash left one dead and one survivor early Saturday morning.

At approximately 2:21 a.m., Mar. 18, California Highway Patrol Officers received a 911 call regarding a traffic collision on the southbound 14 Freeway just north of the 10th Street West exit in the city of Palmdale.

Upon arrival, officers discovered a single-vehicle traffic collision where one occupant was able to free himself from an overturned vehicle at the side of the freeway, and the other occupant was still trapped inside.

Firefighters from numerous stations responded to treat the trapped occupant, however, he was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Circumstances surrounding the collision are still under investigation.
