It was on raising the most money for Bear Lakes’ annual Hope For The Warriors charity tournament. The membership didn’t have to look far to find incentive to give: On the eighth tee of the Lakes course, U.S. Army Col. Gregory D. Riviera Beach cheer and dance team head to nationals again
RIVIERA BEACH, Fla. — The Riviera Beach Chargers Cheer and Dance team is heading back to the Pop Warner National Championship in Orlando next week. The team of 90 girls ages seven to 18 brought home the first national title for the city in 2017 and has been going strong ever since.

Men's Basketball Extends Win Streak to Six in Win Over Tars
WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. – The Palm Beach Atlantic men's basketball team hosted Rollins in a Sunshine State Conference matchup on Saturday. The Sailfish (7-1, 2-0 SSC) entered the game on a six-game winning streak and has beaten Rollins (3-4, 0-2 SSC) in six of the last seven matchups. PBA attacked Rollins' zone defense from beyond the arc. The Sailfish shot 29 3-pointers, converting on 11 of them. The 'Fish defense frustrated the Tars all game, holding RC to 39 percent from the field. The Sailfish controlled the game from the jump, winning 85-70. The win moves PBA to 7-1, its best start since the 1974-75 season.
Dwyer tops Palm Beach Lakes; Benjamin over King's Academy in OT in boys basketball
PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. — The defending boys state champion Dwyer Panthers are looking to repeat as basketball state champions and performances like the one they had on Friday will help their cause. Dwyer beat Palm Beach Lakes, 57-46. In a big private school matchup, Benjamin School upset the King's Academy 75-70 in overtime. The Bucs were lead by Jacob Cosby-Mosley, who led all scorers with 26 points.
