People driving on St. Johns Avenue should be cautious of new traffic patterns in the area, the Putnam County Public Works Department said in a release Friday.

As part of the St. Johns Avenue drainage improvement project, both lanes between Kay Larkin and Zeagler drives are closed, as are the lanes between Woodland Point Apartments and Wes Larson Boulevard, the department stated.

People can access the apartments, according to the public notice, and the Palatka Center for Rehabilitation and Healing by driving up Zeagler Drive. People wishing to access facilities along Kay Larkin Drive can drive onto Wes Larson Boulevard and onto PRC Way, the agency stated.

“For the safety of all, please abide by the posted speed limits and temporary traffic control on site,” the latest public notice stated.
