The two-vehicle collision happened approximately 11:10am on September 15, 2024, on Main Street, near the E Avenue intersection.

A witness said, the CHP officer was speeding down on Main St. with no light or siren on. The driver of the Chevy was turning left from the center left turn lane into the Burger King parking lot, that’s when the driver hits the CHP officer traveling on Main St.

Both vehicles ended up on the sidewalk with major damage.

The CHP officer was not injured and the other driver involved had minor injuries.

We will update this story with more information when the preliminary accident report is available. Additional details were limited at this time. This incident will be under investigation by the Hesperia Police Department.

Cops are AWLAYS SPEEDING! but, when you make a turn in the state of California, you do so at your own risk and you are always at fault. That's the law no matter how fast the car going straight is doing.
