CEDAR HILL, Mo. (First Alert 4) - Authorities are investigating a fatal accident in Jefferson County Monday morning. The incident happened on State Route 30 and Gravois in Cedar Hill. The Missouri State Highway Patrol said a pedestrian was standing in the westbound lanes and was struck. They were pronounced dead by arriving Deputies with the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office.

Mother, man charged with endangering welfare of child after 4-year-old boy shoots self
ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. — The mother of a 4-year-old boy who shot himself in the leg Friday was one of two people charged with endangering the welfare of a child. Cornelia Brew, 23, was charged with endangering the welfare of a child Saturday, a day after her son was taken to the hospital for treatment of a gunshot wound. Tawan Smith, also 23, was charged with the same crime, but police did not know if he was related to the boy.
