An Ozark restaurant known for its speakeasy and brunch will be closing on March 31. The Finley, owned by Terry and Stephanie Mitchell, announced its closure via Facebook on Wednesday.

The owners' post did not list the reason the restaurant was closing, but they expressed gratitude for the support of the community, staff, vendors and guests. When contacted by the News-Leader, the Mitchells declined to go into any more detail.

The Finley is at 206 E. Elm St. in Ozark, and their website lists it as currently open for dinner from 5 to 9 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday. The speakeasy is open from 4 to 10 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday. It offers brunch from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.

The restaurant is not associated with Finley Farms, which is owned by Bass Pro Shops founder Johnny Morris, though both take their names from the nearby Finley River.

The Finley opened in October 2018, after the Mitchells bought a historic church in Ozark with the intention of "creating an incredibly special restaurant setting for all to enjoy an elegant meal or a special occasion with family and friends," according to the restaurant's website.
