High-Speed chase stretches from Dale to Houston County, ALEA

GORDON, Ala. (WDHN) — A suspect is in jail after a multi-county chase stretched from one end of the Wiregrass to the other.

According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency, On Wednesday, close to 9:30 p.m., a trooper with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency attempted to stop a driver for speeding on Highway 231, near the Dale and Pike County line, but the driver fled.

That started a high-speed chase that turned south on 231 in Ozark and continued on that highway through Dothan, where the driver lead police onto the Ross Clark Circle.

Once on the Circle, the suspect continued past Highways 431 & 52 and turned East on to Highway 84.

Troopers say the chase ultimately ended at a store off Highway 84 at Curtis Mixon Road.

Houston County Sheriff Donald Valenza says no one was injured in the chase.

The unidentified suspect was arrested by the trooper.

ALEA, Ozark PD, Midland City PD, Pinckard PD, Dale County SO, Dothan PD, and the Houston County SO responded to the chase.
