Miami University announced that former RedHawks receiver Sean McVay, the Los Angeles Rams' head coach since 2017, will be inducted into the school's Cradle of Coaches along with a bronze statue unveiling at Oxford's Yager Stadium on May 6 at noon. The event will be open to the public.

McVay, a receiver for MU from 2004 to 2007 and 2008 graduate, will have a statue alongside those of Paul Brown, Bo Schembechler, Weeb Ewbank, John Harbaugh, Earl "Red" Blaik, Carm Cozza, Paul Dietzel, Ara Parseghian and John Pont.

McVay became the youngest head coach ever to win a Super Bowl at 36 years and 20 days old when the Rams defeated the Cincinnati Bengals in Super Bowl 56.

McVay's grandfather, John, played center at MU and was inducted into the Cradle of Coaches Association in 1997.

Zac Taylor was the Rams' assistant wide receivers coach in 2017 and the quarterbacks coach in 2018 under McVay before he became the Bengals' head coach.
