There’s plenty of portal movement to have to follow with several players keeping their plans to themselves. Still, one transfer, Ole Miss’ Moussa Cisse, has made a definitive update on his own recruitment to this point.

Cisse entered the transfer portal for the third time in his career over a week ago to leave the Rebels. However, contrary to certain reports regarding his decision, he has not made one yet on his fourth program.

“I did not commit nowhere yet still processing where I will be playing at next year!” Cisse wrote on Twitter on Monday.

This came after outlets had begun to suggest that Cisse’s process was complete. For example, ‘Poke Scoop’ tweeted on Monday that he had verbally committed to Oklahoma State, who he had played for previously before joining the Rebels. The tweet also shared that, although he had committed to the Cowboys, he would still be taking a visit to Memphis, the school that he began at in college.

Cisse has played for Memphis, Oklahoma State, and Ole Miss over the course of his four seasons. He has averaged 6.3 points, 6.5 rebounds, and 1.7 blocks while shooting 56.4% over 115 games, including 91 starts, for the Tigers, Cowboys, and Rebels.

Cisse was AAC Freshman of the Year in his one year at Memphis. He then was Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year and made the Big 12 All-Defensive Team in Stillwater.

He’s coming off a career-low of a season in Oxford, though. Over 26 games with Ole Miss, he averaged 4.5 points, 4.6 rebounds, and 1.4 blocks in under 18 minutes. It’s worth noting that that year didn’t start on time due to eligibility issues with the NCAA.

Cisse is now the No. 207 overall transfer and the No. 21 center per On3’s 2024 Transfer Portal Top Players.

Ole Miss has lost seven players in the portal this offseason with Cisse being the most significant. For reference, Oklahoma State has added two transfers in Robert Jennings (Texas Tech) and Arturo Dean (FIU). Memphis has brought in five total with Tyrese Hunter (Memphis), Dain Dainja (Illinois), PJ Haggerty (Tulsa), Colby Rogers (Wichita State), and Baraka Okojie (George Mason).

Cisse will likely commit out of the portal to a new team that will be getting quite the defensive anchor. With that said, he has not made any such decision yet with him still evaluating his options.
