Owasso Police Department mourns K9 officer's sudden death

TULSA, Okla. (KTUL) — Members of the Owasso Police Department are mourning the loss of K9 officer Helo.

The department says Helo suddenly died on Tuesday during a training exercise. Police say it is suspected Helo passed from an unknown medical condition.

OPD says Helo is missed by his handler, his family, and all of the officers and staff that worked with him.
