HATTIESBURG — Southern Miss football hosted its annual pro day Monday morning and many eyes, to no surprise, were on Frank Gore Jr. The star running back who finished with the third-most career rushing yards in program history took part in most of the day’s drills and measurements after doing only the bench press at February’s NFL scouting combine. He said many of his numbers were personal records.

USM lost two of three at Georgia Southern last weekend. The Golden Eagles (15-9, 4-2) host Troy beginning on Thursday this week.
