KBI: Silver Alert canceled; missing Kansas man found safe

The KBI canceled the Silver Alert for missing George A Teagarden. Hwas located safe in Overland Park, Kansas.

LINN COUNTY – The Linn County Sheriff’s Office requested that the Kansas Bureau of Investigation (KBI) issue a statewide Silver Alert for a missing man from La Cygne, Kansas, according to a media release.

The whereabouts of 80-year-old George A. Teagarden are unknown, and the public’s assistance is requested to help locate him.

George left his residence in La Cygne around 5 p.m. It is believed he headed East on Kansas Highway 152. He was driving a red 2015 Chevrolet Colorado pickup with Kansas tag 626HWP. The front license plate reads, “EAT BEEF.”

George sometimes experiences confusion. He was last seen wearing a peach colored short-sleeve shirt, a vest, jeans, brown and black cowboy boots, a grey or straw cowboy hat, and glasses.

George is a white male, approximately 5-foot-9 in. tall, weighing around 185 pounds. He has blue eyes and grey hair.
