FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) — When Tom Henry, Fort Wayne’s longest-tenured mayor, died, it caused a chain reaction that eventually opened up a spot on Fort Wayne City Council. New Mayor Sharon Tucker left the 6th district seat vacant, and about a month ago, Rohli Booker stepped into the role.
Moped driver critical after Coliseum Blvd. crash
FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) — Fort Wayne police are investigating a crash between a pickup truck and a moped late Tuesday night. According to police, it happened around 11:15 p.m. near the intersection of N. Coliseum Blvd. and Lake Ave. Both the truck and moped were traveling south when the truck rear-ended the moped.
2 separate crashes tie up afternoon traffic on I-69 in west Fort Wayne
ALLEN COUNTY, Ind. (WANE) – Two crashes caused a traffic jam Tuesday on Interstate 69 on Fort Wayne’s west side. One of the crashes happened between IN 14 and Bass Road sometime around noon. That’s near mile-marker 306.2. Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) estimated the lanes would be blocked for about an hour.

(WPTA) - Officers with the Van Wert Police Department warned residents that an issue with AT&T Wireless was impacting some customers’ ability to call 911 on Monday. The police department shared on Facebook that AT&T reported that the company was having issues connecting to 911 services nationwide. They encouraged those experiencing issues calling 911 to attempt texting 911 for help.
