Powers Hamburgers officially reopens for business
FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - Powers Hamburgers officially reopened for business Tuesday morning after announcing its new hours of operation last week. The burger spot reopened its doors under new ownership at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, April 23. Leaders announced on the restaurant’s Facebook page that it will be open from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Tuesdays and Wednesdays and from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Thursdays through Saturdays.

Fort Wayne police arrest man accused of beating ex-girlfriend
FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WFFT) - Fort Wayne police arrested a man Sunday night who is accused of beating his ex-girlfriend after she refused to get back together with him. Police say they responded to an anonymous report about a man, Jimmie A. Cearo, 36, beating up a 33-year-old woman around 10:44 p.m. at the East Central Towers apartment complex.

3 cats rescued after house fire caused by smoking materials
FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) — Three cats were rescued after a house caught fire due to ‘improperly disposed of smoking materials’ on Monday night. According to a press release from the Fort Wayne Fire Department, firefighters responded to a fire at 2221 St. Louis Avenue just after 5 p.m. Monday. When firefighters arrived, they found smoke coming from the one-story home.
