THEY LOOK AT THOSE TRAVEL TIMES COMING UP IN JUST A MOMENT. IF YOU ARE HEADED, THOUGH, OUT TO ORLANDO’S SODO NEIGHBORHOOD THIS MORNING, HOLE IN THE ROAD MAY GET THE WAY. TONY ATKINS IS LIVE ON SOUTH ORANGE AVENUE AND SORRY, THIS HOLE IS ALREADY CAUSING SOME TRAFFIC. YEAH, THAT’S RIGHT, MAYOR. PERSONALLY, I SAW YESTERDAY A NUMBER OF CARS TRYING TO TURN OFF INTO SIDE STREETS, TRYING TO AVOID THE TRAFFIC BACKUPS HERE ON SOUTH ORANGE AVENUE YESTERDAY. AND IT’S ALL BECAUSE OF RIGHT BEHIND ME. TAKE A LOOK RIGHT THERE. YOU CAN SEE WHERE THOSE POSTS ARE UP. THAT’S WHERE THIS HOLE IS. AND ON THE ROAD HERE ON SOUTH ORANGE AVENUE BETWEEN GRAND STREETS, YOU CAN SEE EACH SIDE OF THE ROAD DOWN ONE LANE. NOW, TAKE A LOOK AT THIS NOW, ORLANDO POLICE SAY THIS IS ABOUT A 4X4 FOOT HOLE RIGHT HERE IN THE LEFT LANE ON ORANGE AVENUE. THE CITY SAYS THE DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION AS WELL AS THE POLICE MANAGEMENT, ARE INTO THIS AND THEY’RE WORKING TO MAKE REPAIRS. THEY SAY TRAFFIC WILL BE IMPACTED THROUGHOUT THE MORNING. AND AS YOU SEE THERE, A NUMBER OF CONES HAVE BEEN PUT OUT TO MAKE SURE THAT PEOPLE ARE DRIVING NEAR THIS HOME. THIS IS ALSO NEAR A PART OF SOHO WHERE THERE ARE A LOT OF BUSINESSES. SO THIS AREA CAN GET REALLY BUSY ON NORMAL. NATE DAY NOW BACK OUT HERE LIVE, YOU ARE SEEING SOME OF THAT MORNING TRAFFIC STARTING PICK UP. AT THIS POINT, IT’S UNCLEAR EXACTLY CAUSED THIS HALL TO JUST APPEAR IN THE OF THE ROAD. THE CITY SAYS THAT IT HOPES TO HAVE THINGS FIXED TODAY. WE’RE STILL WORKING TO GET A TIMELINE ON WHEN ALL THESE LANES HERE ON SOUTH ORANGE CAN OPEN BACK UP.
