BREAKING: Walt Disney World Floral & Gifts Being Discontinued, Will Transition to 3rd Party Vendor

Beginning August 27 this year, Walt Disney World Resort will no longer independently operate its floral and gifts operations, opting instead for a third-party vendor in Central Florida.

Floral & Gifts to Use Third Party

Guests will not have the option to add floral or other styles of gifts to Disney Resort hotel in-room amenities to their travel packages booked through Disney. Anything requested for August 26 or before may still be fulfilled.

All orders that have already been placed after August 26 will be fully refunded in the coming days.

For many years, Walt Disney World has used an in-house service for creating floral arrangements as well as arranging special gifts like birthday and holiday spreads for guests when they arrive at their respective resort. Walt Disney World Floral & Gifts was the division behind this, which made the magic happen for thousands of guests per year.

These arrangements are often elaborately themed to different characters and occasions, like the EAR-resistably Minnie Mouse bouquet which features white flowers with red roses dotted in like polka dots, or a special graduation gift package featuring the adventure book from “Up,” among others. These gifts are often used to help celebrate special occasions when visiting, and can even be added into vacation packages during booking. Once ordered, they’re ready in a guests’ room on their arrival date to help celebrate the special occasion.

Walt Disney World is now encouraging guests to place orders through Florida Fresh Floral. It’s unknown whether Florida Fresh Floral will create special Disney-themed arrangements the same way the Walt Disney World Floral & Gifts division has for decades.
