ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — Residents in the Taft neighborhood in Orlando can take part in a food distribution event Wednesday.

Residents can head to the Taft Neighborhood Center for Families off South Orange Avenue starting at 11 a.m.
Volunteers will hand out hot meals and prepackaged nonperishable food items.

Organizers said the Taft community has an average household income below both state and national averages.
Data shows around 15% of Taft’s population lives below the poverty line, including a large senior population.

This is a walk-in or drive-up event.
