New hotel proposed near Walt Disney World

A new boutique Hyatt-brand hotel is in the works, joining a cluster of others just northeast of Walt Disney World’s Disney Springs complex.

Jumani Hotels & Resorts Inc., an Orlando-based firm with an address tracing back to the SureStay Plus by Best Western Orlando Lake Buena Vista at 8200 Palm Parkway, filed an application on March 20 with Orange County to build a 110-room Hyatt House hotel at 11901 Ravallo Resort Drive.

The 2.16-acre parcel of undeveloped land has Lake Street to the north, Palm Parkway to the west and Ravallo Resort Drive to the east and south as the roadway curves around the property.
