Robert Plant surprises Madison record store with a visit
A Madison record store owner had an unexpected visitor earlier this week when Led Zeppelin frontman Robert Plant walked into B-Side Records on Monday afternoon. Plant “kind of gave me a glance as he walked by. For 84 years, Knoche’s Market and Butcher Shop sold meat on Madison’s westside until they closed in 2022. This summer, Knoche’s is back — and in the same neighborhood. On select Saturdays, a mobile deli case under a red-and-teal striped tent will offer customers a variety of Knoche’s meat outside of Steve’s Wine Beer Spirits on University Avenue.
