Oregon's state House Minority Leader, Republican Vikki Breese-Iverson, is apologizing for the actions of her son.

She said her son is in a photo, making a Nazi salute next to an old German fighter airplane at a museum in Madras. He was on a school field trip at the time.

Rep. Breese-Iverson posted a photo of what she says is a handwritten apology from her son.

She said he posed in front of the plane out of extremely poor judgment and without considering the impact the photo would have.

She said she and her husband have been in contact with her son's school about enforcing adequate consequences for his actions, both at school and at home.

Breese-Iverson represents Prineville.
