Semi gets stuck in Highway 99E tunnel, holds up rush hour traffic

PORTLAND, Ore. ( KOIN ) – The Oregon City tunnel on Highway 99E was temporarily blocked Friday afternoon after a semi-truck got stuck inside, according to Oregon City Police.

Officials say the semi had been transporting excavation equipment when the crash occurred around 4:30 p.m.

The tunnel was successfully reopened within a half hour. No injuries were reported.
