Heavy Mountain Snow and Widespread Rain Target the Sierra Nevada, Cascades, and Rockies Near Missoula, Salt Lake City, and Denver Through the End of October
WESTERN U.S. — A major pattern change is taking shape across the West as a colder, more active storm track develops through the end of October. Several Pacific storm systems could bring widespread rain, colder temperatures, gusty winds, and accumulating mountain snow over the next two weeks. Extended outlooks favor above-normal precipitation across much of the region. The pattern looks increasingly favorable for meaningful early-season snowfall.
