From garnet and blue to garnet and black, former S.C. State running back now carrying the ball for the Gamecocks
COLUMBIA, S.C. — Juwarn Howell had quite the freshman season last fall for South Carolina State. The Mooresville, N.C. native was the Bulldogs’ leading rusher with 102 carries for 809 yards and seven touchdowns. He would earn FCS Freshman All-America, MEAC Rookie of the Year and First-Team All-MEAC honors as he led the conference in rushing.
