No tainted basil sold at Trader Joe's in California, after chain recalls herb elsewhere
Shoppers at Trader Joe's stores in California and Oregon can breathe a little easier. The grocery chain's stores in those two states aren't among those described by federal health officials as selling fresh organic basil from Infinite Herbs, a product with some units suspected of being tainted with salmonella, according to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. This includes stores in Redding, Chico and Medford.
Turtle Bay receives grant to help protect museums collection
REDDING, Calif. - Money from a "groundworks" grant is helping the Turtle Bay museum help preserve the quality of the items in their exhibits. Turtle Bay Museum curator of collections and exhibits, Julia Cronin tells Action News Now that the 15 thousand dollar grant that includes an "incredible package of environmental software and systems," that will, "monitor temperature, humidity, light, and water infiltration in the collections facility and at the museum."
