Coulee Region Humane Society opens for visiting during special adoption event

The Coulee Region Humane Society will be hosting limited public viewing hours for
adoptable animals during an upcoming dog adoption promotion. This is the first time
CRHS will allow the public browsing of animals in the shelter since 2020.

As a part of the Pittie Palooza adoption promotion, all Pit Bull-type dogs will have a
reduced adoption fee by 50%. The public is welcome to stop by the shelter at 911 Critter
County in Onalaska to view promo-eligible dogs, as well as all available animals for
adoption.

The adoption promotion runs from Tuesday, May 30th through Sunday, June 4th. Viewing
hours for animals will be from 1p.m. – 4p.m. during this period. For those who would
like to meet with an animal one-on-one, an approved application and scheduled
appointment is still required, and all other CRHS adoption policies and procedures still
apply. CRHS is unable to accommodate unscheduled private meets with animals.

CRHS does not plan to introduce permanent viewing hours, as we prepare for a parking
lot and building remodel. Once the promotion is complete, those interested in viewing an
animal must submit an application for approval and schedule a meet-and-greet
appointment. CRHS staff ask for your patience during this transition.
