Storms moving East to West contain hail, heavy rain

Thundershowers and a few storms moved across Eastern Nebraska Sunday afternoon causing outdoor activities to be put on hold. The Benson area reported some small hail around 1:30 p.m. The National Weather Service issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warnings for parts of Dodge and Saunders counties for the threat of quarter-sized hail and wind of up to 60 m.p.h.You can check KETV live radar here.Watch Bill Randby's report live on Facebook.Residents in Blair reported winds were strong enough to topple a few small trees.The thundershowers in the Omaha metro were not severe, but did include lightning. If you can hear thunder, you're at risk of a lightning strike. Go indoors and do not seek shelter under trees.Thundershowers are expected to continue off-and-on throughout Sunday afternoon. The storms are moving east to west. Small hail and short-lived downbursts of rain are possible. Winds may gust up to 50 m.p.h. in the isolated storms.
