John Beasley Editorial
We talk a lot about why we love Omaha, the new venues and great events. But it's the people who make our community special. And that's why the death of actor John Beasley feels so personal to so many.

He was part of the fabric of Omaha. In his 40's, Beasley had the courage to follow his dream. He gave-up a job with Union Pacific to pursue a career as an actor. And he was a great one, with dozens of film and TV credits, admired in Hollywood's inner-circles, as much as he was celebrated in Omaha neighborhoods.
In an interview last year, Beasley said "To be a working artist is the highest calling, and I appreciate wherever it takes me" .
It was an incredible journey: Actor, producer, director, mentor, father and husband to wife Judy for 58-years. He leaves an indelible legacy. Thank you John Beasley, for sharing your gift with all of us.
