Vendors praise 2023 Taste of Omaha
The famous Taste of Omaha festival started Friday, June 2 and lasts until 8 p.m. Sunday, June 4. Organizer Mike Mancuso said Ralston has been a great host city and day one of the event was a success.
Steve Lindsey has been participating in Taste of Omaha for 20 years. He said opening night couldn't have gone better.
"The great thing is there were so many people here last night, it really turned out," Lindsey said. "I can honestly say that looking at our sales last night it's been my best Friday ever, in 20 years."
Netanya Harrison was setting up Big Mama's Kitchen & Catering Saturday morning before the rush. She said outside of the rain the crowds were great and, despite the new location, Ralston has been working very well.
"As far as us setting up and building that went smooth," Harrison said.
The event is being held in two locations: The Granary at 5500 Granary Plaza and Liberty First Credit Union Arena at 7300 Q Street.
